Charlotte Harbor & the Gulf Islands boasts fabulous white-sand beaches lining the Gulf of Mexico. Remote Don Pedro Island State Park is reachable only by boat, but numerous others are close at hand, including Port Charlotte Beach Park , which has a swimming pool, picnic shelters and other amenities. Port Charlotte Beach Park

Fishing, boat ramps, canoe and kayaking, basketball court, tennis court, volleyball courts, bocce ball, horseshoes, picnic shelter, playground, swimming pool, beach, restrooms and a recreation center with room rentals available.

Cayo Costa State Park

Accessible only by boat, Caya Costa is separated from Gasparilla Island by Boca Grande Pass , which is known as the “Tarpon Capital of the World.”

Don Pedro Island State Park

An exciting day at the beach can be planned at Don Pedro State Park , accessible only by boat. It offers 12 dock slips for public use, picnic tables, grills, and a large picnic shelter and boardwalks to the beach as well as restroom facilities.

Gasparilla Island State Park

Take a break from fun in the sun along the beautiful sandy beaches of the Gulf Coast at the State Park to visit the Boca Grande Lighthouse Museum and enjoy the history of the Island.

Stump Pass Beach State Park

The beach at Stump Pass is rich with seashells, sharks teeth and great view of the Gulf of Mexico . A hiking trail runs the length of the park.
